11:05am portions of the Northeast are being soaked with heavy rain. The rain is attributed to a coastal low pressure system that has developed off the Mid-atlantic. This system will continue its track to the North as the day progresses. Rain will come to an end in the Tri-state area by mid afternoon but clouds will linger through the night. Tomorrow will shape up to be a better day weather wise but we cant rule out the chance for some sprinkles in the morning along the coast. Highs approaching 60°F tomorrow through out the region. Ample sunshine and moderating temperatures are in the forecast. Highs this week will easily approach 70°F making for a picture perfect Easter. NCEP forecast models indicate that this fair weather pattern will continue beyond the weekend.
